Are 4+1 students eligible?
Yes, so long as the MSc to be completed will be a Plan I (thesis-based) degree.
If I am an international student, can I be a RAISE Fellow?
International students can participate in RAISE activities and courses, but cannot receive stipends, or support for tuition, fees, or benefit.
Are MSc Plan III students eligible to participate in RAISE?
MSc Plan III students in RAISE affiliated departments can participate in RAISE activities, but cannot be recipients of the RAISE Fellowship.
Can I apply for a RAISE Fellowship if I am enrolled at another institution?
The RAISE Fellowship is an opportunity for students who are currently or will be enrolled at The University of New Mexico at the Fall semester start of the RAISE program.
Which departments are “RAISE affiliated”?
In the School of Engineering, RAISE affiliated departments are Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Civil, Environmental, and Construction Engineering. In the College of University Libraries and Library Sciences, Organization, Information, and Learning Sciences is a RAISE affiliated department.
Which RAISE activities are open to students who are not RAISE Fellows?
UNM students who are not RAISE Fellows are welcome to participate in RAISE core courses and seminar series.
